what are the health risks of frequent insomnia/lack of sleep over a few years?

ever since I started having loud tinnitus and vertigo I’ve had trouble sleeping. I’ve been getting increasingly stressed out. what kind of conditions/symptoms can persistent lack of sleep cause? what should I watch out for? what’s the safest option to help get back to a normal sleeping routine?

I know that this doesn’t sound like the help that your going to be looking for. But I have had insomnia for years. Usually I just get really tired or feel faint during the day.

It’s something i’ve dealt with for years. But I never really researched what can happen because of insomnia myself.

Just thought it would be a little reassuring knowing that someone is going through it too and for the most part is fine.

I am not sure if you self evaluated yourself and claim to have insomnia you should see a specialist and they can prescribe you medication. “But the symptoms of a loss of sleep is crabbiness, loss of appetite, stress, fatigue and a ton of more. ” But a loss of sleep means a loss of Rem sleep which can lead you to a ‘blah’ feeling the next day”. Instead of medication try: avoiding caffeine at night, try a glass of milk, use dim light when relaxing, SO reassure yourself that the temporary loss of sleep causes no great harm and its nothing to lose sleep over.
Hope you can get some sleep.
